Hobbs Observatory Astronomical Series (HOAS) programs are held on third Saturday on the month (except December) at 8:00pm in the classroom at Hobbs Observatory. Programs on various astronomical related topics are presented CVAS members and invited guests. Programs run 45-60 minutes in length. Topics can be found in the events calendar.
Hobbs Public Observing sessions follow all HOAS programs. Additional public observing sessions are held on clear Saturdays May through October as volunteers are available. Public observing starts about an hour after sunset for about two hours.
Phoenix Park Observing sessions in downtown Eau Claire are held once a month on a weekend evening around the first quarter moon late spring through early fall.
CVAS business meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:30pm in the classroom at Hobbs Observatory. People interested in joining CVAS are encourage to attend.
