CVAS membership is open to anyone with an interest in astronomy. Yearly membership dues are:
- $20 for individuals
- $25 for families
- $10 for full-time students
Membership in CVAS runs from January 1st to December 31st each year. CVAS maintains several mailing lists to which members can subscribe:
- members – general CVAS news, all CVAS members are subscribed to this list.
- images – members interested in sharing their efforts at astrophotography
- volunteer – members interested in helping with public outreach events and private programs.
For an additional cost of $7.50 per year, members can also join the Astronomical League (a national group of amateur astronomers). This membership includes the quarterly publication Reflector. Astronomical League membership runs from July 1st to June 30th.
You may join or renew your membership online via PayPal (you may use your PayPal account or a credit card if you don’t have a PayPal account). To offset the processing fee a modest amount is automatically added to the membership fee. If you wish to avoid the extra fee, you may print out the MEMBERSHIP FORM and mail it to the PO box indicated on the form.
To join/renew online select which membership type, select which mailing lists you would like to subscribe to, enter an email address for the CVAS mailing lists, and press Pay Now.
